Early stages of studying

For a successful start to your studies

During the transition from school to university, most students are faced with two challenges which they must overcome, largely without adequate support: the orientation, scope and depth of the subject contents, as well as independent, academic learning.

PerLe – Projekt erfolgreiches Lehren und Lernen (project for successful teaching and learning) offers preparatory courses for first-year students, which help prepare their subject-relevant school knowledge before the semester begins. Here, learning and working methods are presented to help prepare for university learning cultures. In addition, students are offered tools and strategies for independent study, and also get useful information to help them orientate themselves at university.

Study support services for first semester students are offered during the semester, such as accompanying subject-specific workshops in the form of tutorials, plenary exercises or writing consultations and other workshops.

All courses are free of charge and instruction language is german.
